Shuffle Up and Deal!
Friday, October 19, 2007 is Poker Night! The Rotary Club of Cornwall is holding a Texas Hold'Em Charity Poker Tournament at the Ramada Inn.
Friendly Tournament
This is a friendly tournament for charity - players of all skill levels are welcome to sit in. There is, however, a maximum number of seats - so hurry up and get your ticket!
Prizes
Although there are no cash prizes, players at the final table will win prizes donated by sponsors. In addition to this, every time a player knocks out another player, they earn a bounty! A bounty basically gets their name in a draw for several door prizes.
Cornwall Youth Centre Foundation
 It costs $100,000 per year to incarcerate one juvenile, and $100,000 per year to operate the Cornwall Youth Center - which serves 6,000 young people a year! If we can help even just one youth, we break even.
A former youth, who at the age 21 returned to volunteer at the center, was asked what would have happened to him if he hadn't found the youth center. Answer: I would be dead now!

The Rotary Club of Cornwall meets weekly at 12:00 noon on Mondays. The meetings take place at the Ramada Cornwall located at 805 Brookdale Avenue on the Rotary Circle. Visiting Rotarians and prospective members are welcome to join us as any meeting.
