Bob Peters
Bob Peters is the General Manager of WEBtech, a marketing company based in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. WEBtech works with dozens of leading companies to design and manage their presence on the Internet. One of the projects he was recently involved with was a review of the Mandatory Continuing Education program for the Real Estate Council of Ontario.
WEBtech was significantly involved with the recent successful Our Hospital, Our Future campaign to raise funds for the redevelopment of the Cornwall Community Hospital. It also works closely with the Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce, Team Cornwall and a variety of local organizations.
Mr. Peters has given seminars to a variety of organizations, including the Best Western International Marketing Group, Crime Stoppers, Ontario East Economic Development Commission, Eastern Ontario Rural Tourism Conference, and local Chambers of Commerce. He has also developed a seminar for entrepreneurs on Marketing and Advertising.
Mr. Peters is also a guest lecturer at St. Lawrence College, where he has taught a number of marketing related courses. He is actively involved in a number of community business activities. Prior to working at WEBtech, Mr. Peters was the Economic Development Officer for the City of Cornwall, where he was responsible for the corporation's marketing activities.
Mr. Peters usually speaks on the topics of Marketing and/or Leveraging the Internet as a Marketing Tool. His core philosophy is that businesses and organizations can be more effective by paying attention to some key marketing concepts, such as understanding the needs of the consumer. The marketing mistakes that most companies make are easy to fix, and with a co-ordinated marketing strategy guiding their efforts, they will easily gain a leg up on the competition.
